Blink182

Photos and words by: Richard Roesler

The boys from Blink 182 rolled their caravan of buses into The Pavillion, along with close friends The All-American Rejects from north of the Red River out of Stillwater, OK and A Day To Remember

AAR opened the evening festivities rocking the crowd with hits Swing Swing, Dirty Little Secret, Gives You Hell.  Which has been the bands most successful release hitting #4 on Billboard Hot 100.  It's easy to see why the All-American Rejects are ranked as one of the Top 100 Artist of 2000's as well making the list of Top 200 Artist of the Decade! This is one event where the Red River Rivalry was not an issue.

The Florida boys of A Day To Remember took to the stage next playing tunes from their 6 albums and while ADTR has had its own share of change and drama they have continued to stay the course, touring regularly, even finding time to start their own festival in 2014 the Self Help Fest, now in its 3rd year!  With their latest album "Bad Vibrations" set for release Sept 2nd, I'm sure if you missed them this time, they'll be back soon!

Finally it was time for Blink 182 to take the stage and rock out, to what  appeared to be a capacity crowd!  Although the band and members have had more than their share of drama, change, grief and relief.  The current line up with of Hoppus, Barker and Skiba must be on the right track, with the 2016 release of "California" becoming the bands second #1 album-release on the Billboard 200 and the single Bored To Death becoming the bands first #1 hit in 12 years!

Till Next Time,
Richard Roesler
