The Shacks, Sad Girl and Chicano Batman

Pictures and Words by Richard Roesler  **I apologize for the recent delays in updating some artist and bands.**

East Meets West, In The South

Warehouse Live opened its doors to a costal party of sorts with The Shacks - Shannon Wise and Max Shrager taking care of the east coast duties hailing from NYC.  And the west coast coverage was double duty with LA’s Sadgirl - Misha Lindes on vocals/guitar, Paul Caruso Drums and Dakota Peterson on Bass.  The headliner of the evening was another west coast sound, Chicano Batman, on their “Freedom Is Free” tour.  CB features Eduardo Arenas on Bass/Vocals, Carlos Arevalo on Guitar, Bardo Martinez handling Lead Vocals, Guitars and Organ and Gabriel Villa on Drums.

Having caught Chicano Batman last year I expected a party and was not disappointed!  All the bands, while different in several aspects just seemed to fit together bringing their own bi-costal musical mesh, to the Lone Star State.  From the start there was no way to make it to the stage and even if I did there would have been no moving.  Thankfully I located my "go to" plastic chair and propped my self up against the support beam to the left of the stage.  Finally as Chicano Batman was hitting their 3rd song, my last to shoot, I ventured to the back of the venue and was able to grab a few shoots over the crowd.  Cool crowd, cool music!

Till Next Time
