Michael Nesmith

October 5, 2019 San Luis Obispo---Singer/songwriter/musician, Michael Nesmith performed at the nostalgic Fremont theater, giving an appreciative audience of fans an evening of whitty entertainment and songs from his music repertoire.  Nesmith has worn a variety of hats throughout his life and career; not just the woolen beanie his is famous for in his days as one of the Monkees.  He is also known as a producer, actor, novelist and business man.  He is best known however as a member of the pop band, The Monkees and a co-star on the TV show which ran from 1966 to 1971.  His songwriting credits include "Different Drum" and "Joanne" which he obligingly played for his adoring fans. Most recently, Michael authored an autobiography entitled, "Infinite Tuesday."  After the show, Michael graciously signed autographs and engaged with fans clutching old Monkees LP's for him to sign. Nesmith continues to tour with his group called the First National Band Redux.
