Vince Gill and Lyle Lovett Coming to Chumash Casino Resort

SANTA YNEZ, CA – March 2, 2017 – Vince Gill and Lyle Lovett’s Songs and Stories Tour is coming to the Chumash Casino Resort’s Samala Showroom at 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017. Tickets for the show are $75, $85, $95, $105 and $115.

These two Grammy Award winning artists initially joined forces for a tour back in 2014. Without a set-list, the two played both together and separately with each artist serving as their own accompanist. It was so well received that they have continued to tour each year since, giving their audiences an unforgettable evening of impromptu acoustics and story-telling.

Vince Gill is an American country singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He first achieved commercial success in the 1970s as lead singer to the country-rock band Pure Prairie League. In 1984 Gill kicked off his solo career with the release of his first album Turn Me Loose. Throughout his career Gill has recorded more than 20 studio albums, charted over 40 singles on the U.S. Billboard charts, and has sold more than 26 million albums. He has been honored by the Country Music Association with 18 CMA Awards and has earned 21 Grammy Awards, more than any other male country music artist to date.

Lyle Lovett is an American country singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and actor. Initially a songwriter, Lovett’s musical career went mainstream in 1986 when he signed with MCA Records and released his self-titled debut album. Lovett is admired for his unique composition of country, folk, swing, blues, jazz and gospel music. Over the span of his career he has recorded 13 studio albums, released 25 singles and won four Grammy Awards, including Best Male Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Album. He began acting in the 90s and can be seen in popular television series Mad About You, Brothers & Sisters, The Bridge, Castle and Dharma & Greg.

Don’t miss an opportunity to see these legendary performers when they close out their exclusive, nine-city tour in one of the most popular music venues in Santa Barbara County.

Located on Highway 246 in Santa Ynez, California, the Chumash Casino Resort is an age 21-and-older venue. Tickets for all events are available at the Chumash Casino Resort’s Club Indulge or online at www.chumashcasino.com.

Michael McDonald Coming to Chumash Casino

SANTA YNEZ, CA – March 9, 2017 – The soulful, baritone vocals of Grammy Award winning singer Michael McDonald can be heard in the Chumash Casino Resort’s Samala Showroom at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017. Tickets for the show are $45, $55 & $65.

With a career span of over forty years and counting, McDonald is credited with finding the middle ground between blue-eyed soul and smooth, soft rock. Both as a soloist, and previously a member of two of 1970s top rock bands Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers, McDonald’s distinctive voice has attracted and earned the admiration of music listeners from all over the world.

McDonald’s music career began in 1974 when he became a member of Steely Dan's touring group, singing both lead and backing vocals. He also participated in the band’s studio recordings, providing backing vocals for various tracks in a number of albums, including Katy Lied in 1975, The Royal Scam in 1976, Aja in 1977 and Gaucho in 1980.

In 1975 McDonald was recruited by the Doobie Brothers as a temporary replacement for the band’s vocalist. However, McDonald’s work with the band was so successful that he was asked to stay on as a permanent member. During his time with the band he sang lead vocals on many of the Doobie Brothers’ top hits, including “Taking It to the Streets,” “It Keeps You Running,” and “What A Fool Believes,” which became a No. 1 single in the U.S. and earned a Grammy Award for Song of the Year in 1980.

After the Doobie Brothers disbanded and completed their first farewell tour, McDonald released his first solo album If That’s What It Takes in 1982. He continued to release eight studio albums and earned two Grammy nominations for his album Motown, which was a tribute to the Motown sound. He has collaborated with well-known artists such as Van Halen, James Ingram and has reunited as a guest performer with the Doobie Brothers several times for both concerts and studio album recordings.

Don’t miss an opportunity to see this legendary performer when he takes the stage in one of the most popular music venues in Santa Barbara County.

Located on Highway 246 in Santa Ynez, California, the Chumash Casino Resort is an age 21-and-older venue. Tickets for all events are available at the Chumash Casino Resort’s Club Indulge or online at www.chumashcasino.com.
